Vintage Sterling Silver jensen LA PAGLIA EVANS Table LIGHTER

A rare and attractive, LA PAGLIA designed, Sterling silver table lighter with EVANS mechanism.
American, ca. 1940's- 1950's.
Very heavy gauge, solid silver body has long, silver plated EVANS SPITFIRE insert.
Base designed by the famous silversmith, ALPHONSE LA PAGLIA, who worked for George Jensen U.S.A. and International Silver Co.
Marked on bottom: maker's hallmark, 602, STERLING.
Evans insert signed on filler screw and flint screw.
Total height: ca. 3 7/8 inches (ca.10 cm.).
Weight without insert: ca.  3 ozt. (61 dwt.), ca.95 gr.).
Excellent, hardly used condition. 2 slight dents near top edge.
Lighter works but needs flint and fluid.
A super, silver table lighter by a famous designer.
