I seen a few marks at top of book on first page I pointed out these marks the back side that is the book holder is slightly stained the book is all readable and in good condition no pen marks and no stains that would prevent this book from being used no pen marks no odors smoke free home I did not see any noticeable stains throughout this book just the ones mentioned on front cover and backside the edges at bottom may show wear as well as the book holder but it still works as seen in pictures and pages are also sturdy enough to hold book up really great well made book . Please look at pictures this is a huge stand up book good for audiences good for classroom visual storytelling time and all and all a great lesson please look at all pictures I will ship this item in box it is not a small book it will not fit in an envelope
