This is a rare June 14th, 1966 playbill from the Summer Stock engagement of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" at the Westbury Music Fair in Westbury, Long Island, New York. (The Original Broadway production opened November 16th, 1959 at New York's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, moved to the Mark Hellinger Theatre on November 6th, 1962 and ran for 1433 performances.) ..... The musical starred SHIRLEY JONES as "Maria Rainer", the role originated on Broadway by MARY MARTIN and featured STEPHEN ELLIOTT, BETTY TESMAN, HELON BLOUNT, KYLE SHERWOOD, BUDDY JARVIS, MILTON LUCHAN, B. WALTER SHERWOOD, ROY MONSELL, JESSICA QUINN, THE SHERWOODS and MITCHELL JASON .....
