This amp was mounted on a speaker stand at one time (see mounting plate / cover on bottom. Also, it was modified so that it can directly drive an external unpowered speaker from it's internal amplifier (see terminal strip on back).
Connecting an external speaker in this way does not cutout the built in speakers.
This is useful when an external remote monitor is needed.
