    This is a rare piece of sheet music for the song "BABY, PLAY WITH ME" from the
    out-of-town tryouts of the ROBERT STOLZ, LAURENCE SCHWAB and LESTER O'KEEFE Gay Musical Play "VENUS IN SILK". (The musical premiered as "BELOVED ROGUE" on July 22nd, 1935 at the Municipal Open Air Theatre, Forest Park in Saint Louis, Missouri and ran for one week. A revised version retitled "VENUS IN SILK" opened October 1st, 1935 at the Nixon Theatre in Pittsburgh and closed at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C., failing to arrive in New York City.) .....
