This is a rare February 8th, 1951 playbill from the five-night, National Tour engagement of the MAE WEST comedy "DIAMOND LIL" at the Civic Theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana. (The production opened February 5th, 1949 at the Coronet Theatre, but suspended performances February 26th, 1949 when Miss West broke her ankle. The show reopened September 7th, 1949 at the Plymouth Theatre and ran for 182 performances before going on tour. Following this tour and a summer hiatus, the production returned to New York's Broadway Theatre on September 14th, 1951 for an additional 67 performances.) ..... This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
