This is a rare advertising matchbook cover promoting theOriginal Off-Broadway production of the BERTOLT BRECHT and KURT WEILL classic "THE THREEPENNY OPERA" at the Theater de Lys in New York City. (The production opened March 10th, 1954 and ran for 2705 performances.) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of the obvious lack of matches and a staple, this rare matchbook cover is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
