Please note
:  This is a Repair Service for your existing malfunctioning amp plate.  You send us your malfunctioning amp plate and we repair it and send it back to you.  It is
not
the outright purchase of a new or used replacement amp plate.  You will receive back the same amp plate that you send us, only repaired and updated, and functioning as new.
This a flat rate repair service for the
Klipsch KSP-400
powered subwoofer amplifier plate.  The Klipsch KSP-400 is a phenomenal speaker, but sooner or later the subwoofer amp fails.  ElectroNetix has repaired many of them, and will get yours working quickly.
Simply do a "Buy It Now" and once we receive your payment, we will respond by sending you detailed removal and shipping instructions and an address to ship your malfunctioning amp plate (in
Chicago
area).
We will repair it, test it to factory specs, and ship it back to you, generally within 2-4 days from when it was received.  With shipping time included, you should have it back in about 10 days after you send it. Our service comes with a 90 day warranty.
The amp in the KSP-400 consists of the power amplifier plate shown in the lower left of the picture, and the preamplifier module shown in the upper right of the picture. You will have to remove them both from the speaker box and ship them both to us including the interconnecting cable.  You are responsible for the shipping cost, but we can advise you on the best way to ship the amp plate to us.  Note also that you will ship only the amp components, not the entire speaker.  Weight when appropriately packed is about 12 lbs.
Our charge for the repair is flat rate and includes all parts and labor for normal electrical failure, with the exception of the main filter capacitors.  If the filter capacitors require changing, or you simply want them changed as a preventative measure against future failure, there is an additional charge.  ElectroNetix makes the following recommendation with respect to replacing the main filter capacitors:  If they are good and are not bulging on top, we do not recommend replacing them.  If they are good, but bulging significantly on top that is an indication that end of life is approaching and we recommend replacing them (note: this will not make the unit sound any better, but will improve the long term reliability).  If they are bad, then, obviously they will need to be replaced.  ElectroNetix ends up replacing the filter capacitors on about 25% of the units of this model that we service.  If you want the capacitors replaced as a preventative measure, let us know.  If the capacitors are replaced, we will invoice you for the additional .
You will need to remove and send us both the pre-amp (left side in photos) and the power amp.
