This is a rare January 6th, 1960 "Playgoer" playbill from the four-night, Pre-Broadway engagement of the JEROME KILTY play "DEAR LIAR" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production would open March 17th, 1960 at the Billy Rose Theatre in New York City and run for 52 performances.) ..... Based on the correspondence of famed playwright GEORGE BERNARD SHAW and actress MRS. PATRICK CAMPBELL, the two-character play starred KATHARINE CORNELL (in what would be her final Broadway stage appearance) and BRIAN AHERNE ..... CONDITION: With the exception of surface abrasion to the front cover and a corner crease to the last few pages, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
