This is a rare October 20th, 1954 programme (playbill) from theLondon engagement of the HONEGGER and P. CLAUDEL opera "JOAN OF ARC AT THE STAKE" at the Stoll Theatre in London. (The production opened October 20th, 1954 and played a limited engagement of 29 performances.) ..... Produced for and previously presented at San Carlo in Naples, La Scala in Milan and the Opera House in Paris, the production starred INGRID BERGMAN and featured VALENTINE DYALL, ROBERT ALGAR, ANTHONY NEWLANDS, AUDREY NICHOLLS, THELMA LITSTER, HARRY HAPGOOD, KIM GRANT, ALFRED HALLETT, NORMAN LUMSDEN, NANCY THOMAS, ELIZABETH COOPER, EUGENE CASTLE, RICHARD CAREY, GABRIELLE DAY, LESLIE KYLE, JACK LEONARD, ANDREW MACPHERSON and IRVING CHILDS.
