Handwoven on a Back Strap Loom in the community of the San Andres Larrainzar
in the Highlands of Chiapas. This is a striking Huipil with the details done in
Jet Black on a Creamy White base.
I purchased this huipil directly from
Fidencia Pérez Hernández
the Mayan woman who wove this extraordinary garment.
Please note the length is the back is longer than the length in the front...
this is convent for those of use who need a little more coverage in the back... It's a real beauty!!!
It measures; 29 inches across
(total 58 inches around) and the
length
in the front is 28 inches long and the length in the back is 33 inches Long.
This huipil will fit a Large to 2XL size woman.
The Back and Front are Identical...
