This is a rare oversized January 23rd, 1955 program (playbill) and ticket stubs from the one-performance, Pre-Broadway engagement of the WALTER SCHUMANN and ROBERT WELLS musical revue "THREE FOR TONIGHT" at the Mosque Theatre in Newark, New Jersey. (The production would open April 6th, 1955 at the Plymouth Theatre in New York City and run for 85 performances.) ..... The revue starred MARGE & GOWER CHAMPION, HARRY BELAFONTE and the VOICES OF WALTER SCHUMANN and featured DON BEDDOE (replaced out-of-town by HIRAM SHERMAN), BETTY BENSON, JOHN BENNETT, ROBERT BRINK, ANDREW CASE, GINA CHRISTEN, DIANE DOXEE, ELAINE DREW, JOYCE L. FOSS, DOROTHY GILL, NANCY HARP, JIMMY HARRIS, MARK KARL, JERRY MADISON, ROBERT MILLER, NED ROMERO, JACK STEELE, BRAD THOMAS, ROBERT TREVIS, KAREN VONNE and RICHARD WESSLER ..... DETAILS: The oversized four page playbill measures 8 1/2" X 11" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, scenes and musical numbers, but no cast photos or bios. Includes two ticket stubs from the January 23rd, 1955 afternoon performance stapled inside the front cover ..... CONDITION: With the exception of heavy creasing from having been folded into quarters, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
