    This is a rare souvenir program from the San Carlo Opera Company production of the CLAIRE KUMMER and ROWLAND LEIGH musical play "THREE WALTZES" at the Jones Beach Stadium on Long Island in New York City. (The Original Broadway production opened December 25th, 1937 at the Majestic Theatre in New York City and ran for 122 performances. The Jones Beach production played two weeks beginning June 21st, 1938.) ..... Featuring the music of JOHANN STRAUSS, Sr., JOHANN STRAUSS, Jr. and OSCAR STRAUS, the musical starred EVERETT MARSHALL and LUCY MONROE and featured JUNE HAVOC, RALPH BUNKER, BETTI DAVIS, FRED SHERMAN, DEAN DICKENS, DOUGLAS LEAVITT, HENRY RABKE, ROBERT SMITH, GENE MARVEY, LEN MENCE, KAY SIMMONS, TRUMAN GAIGE, ROSIE MORAN, ULITA TORGESON, JOAN ENGLE, LOUIS SORIN and WHEELER DRYDEN ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) The program shows moderate creasing and light soiling, there's a seam split below the bottom staple and considerable edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare program will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
