    Description

    This piece is from the late 30's to the early 40's. It had been folded to fit in a frame and has several creases. Unfolded it measures 7 3/4"  10 1/2". It is for KFBI Milford, Kansas - Roy Faulkner the "Singing Cowboy". The copy reads - " Radio Station KFBI Milford, Kansas   Roy Faulkner "Singing Cowboy" Compliments of The Farmers and Bankers Life Insurance Co. Wichita,
    Kansas
    "Policies That Protect" Owner and Operators of Radio Station KFBI (Formerly KFKB) From 5:00 A.M. to 8 P.M. Central standard Time, 1050 Kilocycles" , " If you would like a book of old time songs as sung by the Cowboy Send 50 cents to KFBI, Milford, Kansas". He also went by " The Lonesome Cowboy". He Toured the country in 1934 with Purple Sage Riders (this predated the better known Riders of the Purple Sage). Like many other singing cowboys, he went to Hollywood and made a few movie shorts as a member of a cowboy band.
