This is a rare promotional silver metal cigarette case which was given out to crew members of theOriginal Broadway production of the JOHN LOGAN play "I'LL EAT YOU LAST" ("A Chat With Sue Mengers") at the Booth Theatre in New York City. (The production opened April 24th, 2013 and ran for a limited engagement of 71 performances.) ..... The one-character play starred BETTE MIDLER as Hollywood talent agent "Sue Mengers" ..... Biographical note: SUE MENGERS (1932 - 2011) entered the talent agency business in 1955 as a receptionist for MCA. She became a talent agent in 1963 when Tom Korman, a former colleague, formed his own agency. Her first client was stage actress JULIE HARRIS and during her career she represented many of Hollywood's leading actors and entertainers. Among these were BARBRA STREISAND, CANDICE BERGEN, MICHAEL CAINE, DYAN CANNON, CHER, JOAN COLLINS, FAYE DUNAWAY, BOB FOSSE, GENE HACKMAN, ALI MacGRAW, STEVE McQUEEN, MIKE NICHOLS, NICK NOLTE, RYAN O'NEAL, BURT REYNOLDS, CYBILL SHEPHERD and GORE VIDAL. Mengers was known for her humor and for being brutally honest. When the Manson family murders took place, she reportedly reassured Barbra Streisand: "Don't worry, honey, stars aren't being murdered.
