    This is a rare July 5th, 1948 programme (playbill) from the Special Matinee Charity Performance in aid of the Actors' Orphanage at the Globe Theatre in London. The performance includes two scenes from the NOEL COWARD series of plays, "TONIGHT AT EIGHT-THIRTY" as well as a scene from Anton Chekhov's "SWAN-SONG" and solo performances by Miss BEATRICE LILLIE and Miss IVY ST. HELIER ..... "FUMED OAK" (from "Tonight at 8:30") starred JOHN GIELGUD, JOYCE CAREY, MOYA NUGENT and IVY ST. HELIER, "SWAN-SONG" starred JOHN GIELGUD and GEORGE HOWE and "HANDS ACROSS THE SEA"
