(The production opened February 14th, 1972 at the Eden Theatre, moved on June 7th, 1972 to the Broadhurst Theatre and finally on November 21st, 1972 settled into the Royale Theatre for over seven years, running for 3388 performances.) ..... a few years later. It went on to become a
    West End
    hit, a
    hugely successful film
, and was followed by two successful
    Broadway
    revivals in 1994 and 2007
