    This is a rare 9" X 7" wire photograph of BARBRA STREISAND and SYDNEY CHAPLIN used to promote the upcoming Broadway production of the JULE STYNE and BOB MERRILL musical comedy hit "FUNNY GIRL" at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. (The production would open March 26th, 1964 and run for 1348 performances.) ..... The musical marked the first starring role for BARBRA STREISAND as "Fanny Brice" and also starred SYDNEY CHAPLIN as "Nick Arnstein". Featured in the cast were KAY MEDFORD, DANNY MEEHAN, JEAN STAPLETON, ROGER DeKOVEN, JOSEPH MACAULAY, BUZZ MILLER, GEORGE REEDER, RUFUS SMITH and ROYCE WALLACE ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a clipped corner in the lower right margin, this rare photo is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
